With the Variant 2 I really learnt RC flying. It is supplied as an ARF kit and is ready for flight in quite short time. The flight characteristics are convenient but some what more demading than those of the QB-1800. The Variant is an excellent thermal sailplane.
The Variant got a broad stripe design at the bottom side to enhance the visibility in high altitude and blue sky:
The Variant has blessed the temporal. After a landing in a tree in a height of 10 meters it had to preserve for four days. Because of holidays a rescue operation couldn't be organized in time. The third windstorm was too much then and led to so severe damage that the Variant fell through the branches.
